We perform arthroscopic surgeries at Temple Heights Animal Hospital. Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure for the diagnosis and treatment of joint problems. Telescopes with diameters of 1.9 - 2.7 mm are used for small animal arthroscopy procedures. Over the past few years, many different surgical procedures are now preformed with the arthroscope. Prior to this, the joint had to be opened via an incision. This increased morbidity and longer recuperative time. Arthroscopy allows the patient to return to full function much quicker.
